Most Blessed Sacrament Church May Crowning Ceremony
In a beautiful ceremony on Tuesday, May 31, two
of our MBS First Communicants, Sarah Piper and Marissa Reyes, crowned the
Blessed Mother. The event began with a procession in which all attendees placed
roses and other flowers in vases before a statue of Our Lady of Fatima. Then
Sarah and Marissa processed down the aisle with Marissa carrying the crown on a
pillow. When they reached the statue, Sarah gracefully placed the crown on Our
Lady. Deacon Mike read from the Gospel of St. Luke and gave a homily about the
Visitation since May 31 is the Feast of the Visitation. We then prayed the
Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary. Throughout the ceremony we sang four well-known
hymns honoring our Blessed Mother and ended with "Hail, Holy Queen." The music
provided by Ann Wood added to the beauty of this event enjoyed by all in
attendance!
