Most Blessed Sacrament Church Vacation Bible School June 13 - 17, 2011
At PandaMania, kids discovered that God is wild about them -- a fact that can influence their lives forever! At Most Blessed Sacrament Church this week, we had 100 volunteers (58 Youth and 42 adults) and 200 kids attend a faith-filled and fun week at "PandaMania". VBS is a very "hands-on" learning experience, so the daily Bible messages was reinforced through games, crafts, songs, demonstrations, snacks, etc. We encouraged parents to ask questions about each day's message, and continued to direct attention throughout the week to the daily Bible stories and themes. "God Sightings" - When we read about the great miracle stories in the Bible, it is human to wonder why God doesn't do those things today. Participants this year were reminded that God IS AT WORK in our everyday lives -- we just have to learn to look for "God Sightings". They came to see evidence of God in things like sunsets, a rainstorm, a laugh, a kind word, good food etc. Kids were challenged each day to keep their eyes open for things that God is doing all around them and encouraged to talk about the ways they saw God acting in their lives (or around them) throughout the previous day and evening. We encouraged families to become involved with the spirit of the effort by pointing out "God Sightings" in their individual family experiences throughout this week. Thanks to all those who helped make this a faith and fun filled experience for all those that attended. Special Thanks to our Director of Religious Education, Becky Lucas, for her planning and coordination of Vacation Bible School! DAY 1 - GOD MADE YOU ! (Psalm 139:14 - "Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!")
(Psalm 139:4 - "You know what I am going to say")
(Psalm 139:12 - "Even in darkness I cannot hide from you.")
