On March 31, 2011, Most Blessed Sacrament Church hosted

 "The Mass: Source & Summit of our Faith."

This workshop concentrated on the new Roman Missal changes and our call to worship.  The day began with over 400 hundred in attendance with prayer and Bishop Vann's welcome.  Fr. Bruce Nieli, CSP,  presented a keynote address.  Several breakout sessions, concerning an overview of the mass, were then held by Lucas Pollice, Marlon de la Torre, Fr. Raymond McDaniel, Fr. Bruce Nieli, Fr. John Robert Skeldon, Martha Tonn, and Padre Carmen Mele, OP.  Mass followed, presided by Bishop Vann.  After lunch, the day continued with additional breakout sessions.  Afternoon topics included: preaching the new translation, new musical settings, DRE and Youth implementation, Adult Catechesis and RCIA guidelines, and a walkthrough of the new translation by Deacon Don Warner. We appreciated the opportunity to host this Diocesan workshop. Thanks to all those from our parish community who attended and were able to help. Thanks to Msgr. Joe and all the guest Priests who were able to take time to concelebrate Mass this day. Special thanks to Bishop Vann for his leadership in guiding us through these changes and being with us today.
