Socks,
Underware & T-shirt Drive - February - all month-
The Community Service
Committee is once again having its annual drive for socks, underwear, and
T-shirts for Pre-K through 6th grades.
Girls:
Underwear sizes: 4-10, Sock sizes: Low rise style, small and large, White
T-shirt sizes: 10-16 and adult small.
Boys:
Underwear sizes: 4-12, Sock sizes: Low rise style, small and large, White
T-shirt sizes: 10-16 and adult small.
Also, the
schools are in need of tissues and hand sanitizers. Please drop off your
donations, through the month of February, in the wooden boxes located at the
doors of the church. Thank you for your generous gifts for the six elementary
schools that we help support.
Blessed
Sacrament - Monthly Adoration - Friday, February 3, 2012 - First Friday Adoration of the Blessed
Sacrament. The Blessed Sacrament will be placed in the
monstrance at the morning Mass (8:45 AM) and will remain on the altar in our new
chapel until 3 PM that same day. The chapel will, of course, be open until 3 pm for
private prayer, meditation and adoration. This all day adoration will be held
the First Friday of every month.

The Community Service Committee is holding it's Pantry Sunday this weekend
and the first weekend of every month. A suggest donation of ONE can
per family be donated and placed in the collection boxes at church.
Needed most are canned meats, peanut butter and jelly, macaroni and
cheese, dried pasta, rice, beans, pork and beans, canned/boxed pasta
meals, spaghetti sauce, soups, canned fruits and vegetables. Please, no
EXTRA LARGE cans. Thank you for helping feed the hungry of our
community.

Knights of Columbus Breakfast - The Knights of Columbus
will be serving breakfast after the 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses this Sunday. There
will be pancakes, French toast, sausage, ham, bacon, hash brown potatoes,
scrambled eggs and biscuits prepared by our own nearly world famous
Chef Eddie. The cost ... $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for children.
Even if you are not interested in eating, come to visit with old
friends and to make new friends in your parish family.

Catholic Middle School Rally - Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Most Blessed
Sacrament! - Let's make a good showing to the diocese as
they come to our Church for the first ever Middle School Rally! Spend a
full day together with youth form across the Diocese in celebration of our
Catholic faith and identity. Only for youth in grades 6-8! Cost is
$30. Registration forms are available in the front office or youth room
starting Tuesday, January 10. Hurry the deadline is January 31, 2012!

The
Knights of Columbus along with Carter Blood Care is sponsoring a blood
drive on Sunday, Mar. 11 from 9 am to 1 pm. The blood drive will be held
in the Family Life Center gym. All donors will receive a free breakfast
compliments of the Knights. Carter asks that donors bring a picture id.

Vacation Bible School - Most Blessed Sacrament Church - June 18 to June 22, 2012
- Vacation Bible School is planned for this week for those interested. We
have had several hundred participants and volunteers for several years and we
look forward to another fun filled and faith learning week. Please contact our
Director of Religious Education, Becky Lucas, at the parish office, at
