Children's Liturgy of the Word Children's Liturgy of the Word (CLW) refers to the practice of children leaving the Sunday assembly during the Liturgy of the Word and gathering elsewhere to celebrate a separate Liturgy of the Word that is more appropriate to their level of understanding. Do you like sharing God's Word, and find that you enjoy working with young children, ages 4 through 7 years? Are you experienced, or willing to be trained in bringing God's Word to life through Scripture readings, interactive discussions, and other creative approaches? Then, we hope you will consider joining our CLW Lay Presider's team. CLW is not a faith formation class, nor is it child care. It is a liturgical celebration in which the Sunday Scripture readings, proclaimed to the larger assembly in the Church, are shortened and shared with children in ways that help them understand what they have heard, and how to apply it to their everyday lives. If you feel drawn to this important ministry, or have other questions, please contact Becky Lucas, DRE, at 817-460-2751
