Boy Scouts (For those 6th grade and up) Meetings : Monday Nights @ MBS 7:00 p.m. The Boy Scouts of America provide a program for boys, ages 11 through 17, that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness. Their mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes. Most Blessed Sacrament Church sponsors Troop 545. They meet on Mondays at 7:00 pm. Scouts from this troop have helped with table set-up for various parish functions, served pizza and popcorn and helped with general clean-up at past parish picnics and have prepared our fire for lighting the Paschal candle to begin our Easter Vigil every year. Many notable Eagle Scouts have made very positive contributions to our country including Neil Armstrong, U.S. Navy officer James Lovell and our very own Pastor, Father Joe. Troop 545’s most recent Eagle Scout and member of our parish, Gregory Hodges, constructed our Prayer Garden as his Eagle Service project. In addition to camping, Scouts and adult leaders enjoy activities such as rock-climbing and rappelling, canoeing, target-shooting, visits to military bases and much more while accomodating the needs of today's busy families.
