  Join your fellow parishioners for an adult Bible study class after the 8 AM Mass. This informative discussion and study is becoming very popular. So join us every Sunday from 9:05 - 9:50 AM in the overflow room. You won't want to miss it.

WHERE; WHEN : The Tuesday Morning Bible Study group began   

  meeting in 1986 with Mary Raley as the leader. We think of ourselves as

  a small church community and   we “gather” almost every Tuesday in   

 the Education room from 9:15 to 10:30 a.m. We use “At Home With The

  Word” as our “text” ($6.00).

■ FORMAT: “Liturgy Of the Word”: we proclaim and reflect on the coming

   Sunday’s readings. Christina Wildemann is the leader and Frieda Bayer,

   Rosalyn Johnson, Harold Schump and Eileen Brown are alternate

   leaders. Christina has studied what the Church teaches about the Bible,

   refers to many Bible commentaries and is presently enrolled in the

   fourth year IRPS Biblical school certificate program of the University

   of Dallas. A list of our members is available with phone numbers. You   

   may call  any one on our list or ask Beverly Corzine or Fr Joe about us.    

  We have no official attendance policy--anyone is welcome to visit.

■ NO HOMEWORK is assigned but you are encouraged to prepare the

   readings with your Study Bible! All are invited to reflect on the 

   readings with reference to Scripture context, background and teaching

   as well as the context of our lives as Catholics.

■ WE CELEBRATE: many events together: an annual “Epiphany”   

    (Christmas) party; a “Seder” meal during Holy Week; Pancake Tuesday

    (Mardi Gras) and Thanksgiving. We get together for museum trips,

    Church trips, Texas Catholic Conference in Austin; we do movies and

   “potluck” lunches for special  occasions.

■ MINISTRIES: our members are involved in many other ministries of

   MBS and as a group we have ministered to Nuestro Hogar residents  at

   Christmas and been involved in Catholic Charities’ fund raisers of all

   kinds.

■ BABYSITTING: Buca Crawford 817-265-3876 can be called ahead and we

   pay her with our donations.

·        Other Notes: We use a phone–tree system and the Church bulletin to inform each other of any cancelled weekly sessions.
