Altar Care
The Altar Care Group is
a quiet ministry, which operates behind the scenes. We are
the ones who see that the holy water fonts are clean and fresh, the altar is
dusted, the candle guards are cleaned, and the cheerios are removed from the
bookracks. At the present time, we are 20 ministers. We work in teams so our
duties are called upon once every 10 weeks. We have no meetings but each of us
has a copy of the roster
of regular volunteers and willing substitutes.
(The
environment
group or the "make it pretty committee" operate separate from us as does the
altar linen group. The
Altar Server Ministry is the group of
individuals from 4th through 12th grade who assist during mass.)

WE DON'T DO WINDOWS AND WE DON'T DO
FLOORS.
WE CLEAN THE HOLY WATER FONTS
WE DUST THE ALTAR
WE CLEAN THE CANDLE GUARDS AT THE ALTAR
WE CLEAR THE BOOKRACKS OF CHEERIOS
We work, unseen, to do the work of the lord.
We are always looking for more volunteers as some drop out during
the year and because the more we have, the fewer times we are called upon.
