The Altar Care Group is a quiet ministry, which operates behind the scenes. We are the ones who see that the holy water fonts are clean and fresh, the altar is dusted, and the cheerios and other debris are removed from the bookracks. We work in teams of two and are currently scheduled every 5 months. It usually takes about an hour to complete all tasks. We have no meetings but each of us has a copy of the roster of regular volunteers and willing substitutes.
(The
environment
group or the "make it pretty committee" operate separate from us as does the
altar linen group. The
Altar Server Ministry is the group of
individuals from 4th through 12th grade who assist during mass.)
WE DON'T DO WINDOWS AND WE DON'T DO
FLOORS.
